NEW Website: www.theallorganicfarm.com.au
Please remember to have all orders in by 12 midnight Tuesday for delivery on Thursday and please return any boxes for re-use
Happy Sunday, I was woken by another gorgeous sunrise this morning and the sound of choppy waters at the end of my garden! What a way to start the day. The wind’s died down a little after yesterday…Wowee what a day at market, peoples stalls were literally blowing around
Thanks for all your positive feedback for this new website, especially the constructive criticism...this is exactly what we need to make the service as user friendly as possible. You may not see many changes this month as while Jonathan is away on holiday I'll just be collecting all your comments and on his return we'll nut out what the best things to do are...so please keep those comments coming.
We have elected to keep offering the excel list in a modified version with order form. We have seen the need to offer a no frills list for some of you with slower internet connections. We will upgrade this list to be more user friendly as time permits.
We have a couple of hints to help make ordering on the website easy!
- You do not have to add each item 1 by 1. You can for example choose the items you would like by putting the relevant numbers in each of the items order box as you scroll down the page. Once you have selected each item and have finished on the page simply press enter or “add to cart”. This will add all the items you have selected from that page all in one go, instead of 1 by 1, meaning less time spent ordering as you do not have to wait for the page to reload for each item.
- You can start an order and leave the website by shutting the page down or logging out. You can come back at anytime and the website will remember where you were up to. You can do this as many times as you like and the website will always remember where you were up to (even if your computer suddenly shuts down) You just have to make sure that you are logged in before you start ordering.
- You can make up an order with a friend or group by starting an order under a shared login name leaving it unfinished so that your friend or others in the group can login and add what they would like to the order then finalise the order when everybody has completed their part of the order. You just have to make sure that you are logged in before you start ordering.
We have also installed our new POS system in the warehouse which will help us to process orders more efficiently, track accounts and generally speed up a process that had previously taken us 15hrs to pack all the orders on Wednesdays. A few mistakes are occurring with invoicing whilst adjusting to the new system and we are very sorry for any inconvenience. If you have any queries about you invoice at anytime please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Fruit and Veg news
OOOH spring really is here…I’ve got some fresh new season goodies for you this week… but first let’s get the apologise for last week out of the way…Avocados and Turmeric didn’t arrive in time for sale and Coriander was not available. Mandarins were limited and I’m apologising in advance they will be unavailable this week (due to arrive on Friday) but I will continue the special on Tangelloes @ $5.95 kg as a substitute.
Let’s spring into spring…with citrus specials… Navel oranges 2.95 kg or $8.95 for a 3kg net. Tangelloes greatly reduced to $5.95 kg and a special to clear out last week’s lemons before a fresh pick arrives next week… only $5.95 kg.
Rhubarb is back and should be a regular again from this week, stewed rhubarb (with apple for those who like it quietened down a little) is one of my favourites, on porridge, mixed through yoghurt or in a crumble or pie with Elgaar double cream!
I have been told to expect Pineapple this week, extravagantly priced at $9.95 kg but Oooh to taste pineapple again, it makes me smile just thinking about it.
The fresh Fuerte avocadoes have arrived and are exquisite, ripened and ready to eat, well the ones I’m eating now are ready to eat now but the ones you’ll be getting delivered in your orders will be ready then! Creamier than the bacon variety and a lovely nutty flavour, highly recommended.
We have a fabulous special on Ladybird Baby Spinach (the best of their produce I think) this week...100g bags for only $3.50 each
Turmeric has arrived and is sensational, if any of you are suffering from these coldy flus you need some Turmeric… it has the highest vitamin content of any known fruit or vegetable!
And to the next new season surprises… Asparagus and Zucchini, again at extravagant prices, will both be available this week. Hearty Winter menus are changing into fresh lighter Spring ones.
Kale is also on special at $2.95 per bunch and white sweet potato for $4.95kg.
Eggs Eggs and more eggs... I have been over supplied with biodynamic eggs in a small size and need to clear them out while they’re still fresh… half dozens going out at $2.95 each. Dozens are also on special for $7.95.
